Matsusiro

Mathusiro City is a castle town where general Sanada governed from the Age of Civil to the first stage of Tokugawa period.And if is popular for Matsushirodaihonei which is remains of the Pacific War.　

Traffic

Railway: Get off at Matsushiro Station on the Nagano Dentestu Railway, Koutou Line.
Bus: It is 20 minutes from Nagano Station on the Shinetsu main line.
Car: It is 1km from the Nagano interchange.

Sightseeing

The place where Matsusiro Castle once stood: In 1560,Shingen Takeda had Kansuke Yamamoto build that castle preparing for attack of Kenshin Uesugi.When Nobuyuki Sanada came Matsusiro as the first president of domain from Ueda,Sanada's government began.
Sanada's residence: In the last years of Tokugawa period ,the 9th president of Matsusiro domain Yukinori Sanada built it as a safe shelter for his mother Sada
Museum of Sanada's treasures: They have Sanada's weapons,goods and so on.
Matsushiro Zouyama underground trenches: Matsusiro Zouyama underground trenches were built by old Japanese army in secret based on the project which they would move Daihonei,government to therefor final battle.

Sanada Festival: Customary「松代藩真田十万石行列」(MatsusirohanSanadazyumangokugyouretsu),and many others hold in every Helth sports day.
